An opening ceremony of the Economics Department cabin was held on 18th November 2022 from 10 am onwards. The inauguration took place on the first floor at KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce.

The function began, where our Hon. Principal (I/C), Dr. Veena Sanekar Ma’am along with the vice-principal, Dr. Satyavan Hanegave Sir, Head of Department, Dr. Shubhangi Patil Ma’am and members of the Economics Department, Dr. Sunil Chandrashive Sir, Dr. Mahendra Mishra Sir, Dr. Flora Pandya Ma’am, Mrs. Deepali Keluskar Ma’am, and Mrs. Jayashree Kotak Ma’am inaugurating the cabin. Students put a lot of effort into the past 2 weeks to give a piece of brief information about what Economics is and explain related concepts related to it. Following the inauguration, the dignitaries were taken on a tour of the cabin. The HoD, Shubhangi Ma’am also showed and explained the various models made by the students displayed in the cabin. After which, everyone was served light snacks and tea. In the end, Principal Ma’am and all the guests praised all the students who have dedicated their time and energy to decorating the cabin before taking their leave.
