About Our College
Our college, K J Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce, was established in the year 1959. It is one of the premier colleges located on the campus of Somaiya Vidyavihar. Permanently affiliated with the University of Mumbai, our college also enjoys the status of being autonomous. It is accredited by NAAC with a grade of 'A'. It's not just an institution made of bricks and mortar but it stands on the shoulders of our efficient teachers. Our college provides its students with a great ambiance to learn and grow with various academic as well as extracurricular activities. Somaiya Vidyavihar holds tight onto the principle of "Knowledge Alone Liberates"

About Economics Department
Since 1970s, K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce has been illuminating the academic as well as economic world with its Economics Department. Our department barters knowledge with devotion. It stands on the strong roots of our teachers who bring out transformation in their students with their remarkable guidance and support. Our department conducts numerous seminars, activities as well as field trips so as to give our students complete pack of learnings and practical applications. We aim to create a promising future for our students. Thence we strive so hard.
About Economics Association
Endowed in 1970’s, our Economics Association aims to put forward an even handed approach towards our subject... Uplifting the budding thoughts of our postulants; we intend to fortify the walls of our association with the foundational bricks of our professors and with the colors of our economy enthusiasts! This is nothing but an additional effort to reach to the pinnacle.
Beginning with a blast in the year of 2021, Somaiyanomics is credited to become the first website ever created by a students committee. Juxtaposing with the objectives of our Economics Association we aim to provide all the economic enthusiasts, an ocean of knowledge, a platform to explore their inner potentials as well as to discuss over current economic issues.
