OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, one of the most popular AI tool, is set to open its first office in New Delhi this year as part of the expansion of its operations to India.

CEO Sam Altman in his X post emphasized on the rapidly growing AI adoption in India with users growing 4x in the past year. Sam Altman also confirmed his visit to India next month.

OpenAI's Indian entity 'OpenAI India Private Limited' also got listed on Ministry of Corporate Affair (MCA) master data records, taking the developments furthur.
