India’s Economy sees Higher Growth of 7.8% in First Quarter (April-June) of 2025-26

India’s economy shows unexpectedly high growth in April-June Quarter of 2025-26, service sector showed the most growth.

India’s economy grew unexpectedly higher in the April-June First Quarter of 2025 showing an outstanding growth rate of 7.8% highlighted in the official press release by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) Government of India.


Among all the sectors the Services sector showed the fastest growth at 9.3% over the growth rate of 6.8% in Quarter 1 of FY 2024-25. Making it the star performer of this quarter.


Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) also grew by 7.8%, better than last year's 6.7%, showing India’s higher investment in long-lasting assets like roads, factories, and machines.
